'The Voice' Season 6 Recap: Week 1 of the Live Shows

For all those who missed the show, here's a recap of the Top 12's performances and what the judges had to say.

TEAM ADAM

Delvin Choice sings "Unchained Melody" by The Righteous Brothers: Classic and soulful performance but he seemed to lose his breath while taking on that high note. Usher wondered if his tone was right, singing without the pain the song usually conveys, but Adam gushed: "I got goosebumps."

Christina Grimmie sings "Dark Horse" by Katy Perry: Christina owned the song and gave a really energetic and impressive performance. "You are proof that dynamite comes in small packages," Blake said. "I continue to be more impressed," Adam said.

Kat Perkins sings "Magic Man by Heart: Intense and inventive performance that left the audience in awe. Kat was on top of her game that night. "Your voice is dope," Usher said. "It's mind-blowing," Adam added.

TEAM BLAKE

Audra McLaughlin sings "Angel of the Morning" by Juice Newton: Not perfect but she had great moments throughout the song. "I have to pee if I hold a note that long," Usher joked. "You are one of my favorite country singers," Blake said.

Sisaundra Lewis sings "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" by Elton John: Amazing, nearly flawless rendition of an amazing song. Definitely one of the best performances of the night. "The restraint you showed" was Adam's favorite part. "I hope you are taking all this in," Blake said.

Jake Worthington singing by "Anymore" by Travis Tritt: Endearing performance although his opening was a little bit flat and he had some pitch problems. Even so, his coach remains impressed. "You nailed it," Blake said.

TEAM SHAKIRA

Dani Moz singing "Just Give Me A Reason" by Pink: Moz sang the hit song in an intimate and lovely way but she lost her pitch a couple of times. Adam wanted more dynamic. Shakira said she "gave us her all."

Kristen Merlin singing "Stay" by Sugarland: Merlin was well on her way, giving a pretty and delicate cover of the song when her microphone cut out. Most of the bridge, which appeared to house all the big notes, went unheard by viewers. The judges gave her a well-deserved standing ovation. "Ice water in your veins," Adam said. "So much sentiment, so much sincerity," Shakira said.

Tess Boyer singing "I'll be There for you" by Bon Jovi: A passionate and powerful performance. "You're the artist on team Shakira to beat," Blake said. "No one can deny your prowess as a technical singer," Shakira said.

TEAM USHER

Bria Kelly sings "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele: An edgy and cool cover of Adele's track but somewhat lacking in power. Shakira and Adam wished the key was higher. "I felt fire in your voice," Usher said.

TJ Wilkins sings "Waiting on the World to Change" by John Mayer: Not his strongest but it was a very entertaining performance. Shakira called him "incredible." Usher commended him for going with his instincts and called him "a leader."

Josh Kaufman sings "Stay With Me" by Sam Smith: Kaufman chose the perfect song and sang it beautifully. A flawless performance that gained the judges' approval. It's unbelievable the notes you can hit," Shakira said. "You completely commanded this entire room," Usher said.

'The Voice' is now open for voting. Two singers will be sent home Tuesday night. Who will stay and who will go? Catch the results show at 8 p.m. on NBC.
