PAUL WALKER’S BROTHERS TO PLAY HIS ROLE IN FAST & FURIOUS 7

Paul Walker's role, Brian 'O Conner, will not die in the forthcoming installment of Fast & Furious, the production team confirmed.

Apparently, Paul's brothers, Cody and Caleb will take over his character and would finish the movie that he co-starred with Vin Diesel nearly 13 years ago.

In a statement released in the Fast & Furious Facebook page, producers admitted that they took time to grieve and figure out what should be done with the film. Turns out, they decided to continue to consider what the fans really wanted, which they believed the late actor would have wanted too.

Cody and Caleb will be joining the cast of the Fast & Furious 7 to complete the remaining action scenes and small gaps left in the production. "Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too," the statement said.

Paul and co-lead star Vin Diesel recently won at the MTV Movie Awards for Best On-Screen Duo. An emotional Diesel thanked MTV for honoring him and Walker on the award that they also shared in 2002.

"Paul had already shot his dramatic scenes and most of his action for FAST & FURIOUS 7," the statement said.

The statement took note of Paul's reprisal of his "most defining role" as "the strongest work of his career."

As early as December, The Daily Mail reported that Cody has been eyed to play Paul's character as they have similar resemblance. He worked as a stuntman and now serves as Brand Manager to his brother's Reach Out Worldwide charity, a foundation that supports victims of calamities.

"I can now officially confirm what so many have already assumed. FF7- let's make it great and make my bro proud," Cody said in his Facebook page.

Paul died in a car crash in November 2013.

Already, the production team of Fast & Furious 7 has resume shooting and targets to complete the film before the year ends in time for its April 2015 release. Universal Pictures earlier suspended the film followed by Paul Walker's untimely demise.
