Black bear attack in Florida injured a 45 year-old woman after being dragged from her garage to the driveway.
A hunt for a black bear was initiated after its brutal attack to a 45 year-old woman. The black bear attack in Florida that occurred last Saturday night almost killed Terri Frana of Lake Mary. The humongous creature's attack caused Frana's 40 stitches in the head.
According to the sheriff's deputies, the victim was attacked by a bear that went searching for food in her garbage cans that Saturday evening. Terri Frana also added that about five bears of different sizes were rooting in the garbage cans while she walked into her garage. However, according to Lt. Jeff Hudson, the woman could not confirm the reports of multiple bears involved in the said attack.
Moreover, the news saying that the woman was attacked by several bears was wrong as confirmed by Spokesman Greg Workman of Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. On the other hand, the victim of the black bear attack in Florida is now trying to recover after sustaining injuries in her face, legs and torso. Frana is indeed fortunate to escape and ran back to her home.
Seminole County Sheriff's Lt. Pete Brenenstuhl said that the bear dragged her from the inside of her garage to the driveway. After calling 911, Frana was rushed to a local hospital wherein she was treated for bear bites and cuts in her body. The victim of the black bear attack in Florida is now in her home and trying to feel better after the brutal encounter.
In addition to the black bear attack in Florida last Saturday, the Florida wildlife officials have warned residents that black bears and their cubs have started moving around looking for food after winter. A statement was also released regarding the use of bear-resistant trash cans to prevent further related incidents with the Saturday night attack.
