Toyota recall list released after problems with the car's safety issues.
After recalls were made by different motor companies, the Toyota Motor Corporation is now also pulling their cars from the market. Most of the company's vehicles were retrieved from being distributed due to issues that deals with the safety features of specific car models featured in the Toyota recall list.
The start of 2014 seems to involve lots of car recalls which now includes the company of Toyota. The Toyota recall list includes about 6.39 million vehicles in different parts of the world wherein 30 models are involved. According to the report of The Detroit News, there are models affected in various areas wherein 2.36 million vehicles were recorded in all of North America, 1.09 million in Japan and 810,000 in Europe.
Vehicles that qualified for Toyota recall list includes the 2009-2010 Corolla, Matrix and Tacoma, the 2008-2010 Highlander, the 2006-2008 RAV4 and 2006-2010 Yaris. The reason for the car withdrawal is said to be due to the problem with the spiral cable that prevents the air bag from deploying during accident therefore jeopardizes the safety feature of the said cars.
The connections on the cable can be damaged when the steering wheel is turned thus deactivating the air bag. In order to address such problem, Toyota is now preparing to replace the said cable with an improved part. This recent recall made by the company will probably remind its consumers of its previous recall implemented during the 2009-2010 thus resulting to the significant denting of its sales in the U.S. and in other places.
Another Toyota recall list affects 472,500 2006-2010 Yaris hatchbacks, 2007-2010 Yaris sedans and 2008-2010 Scion xD models which have problems with seat rails. The company will replace seat track assembly on the affected cars but the parts are not in place yet. Owners of affected cars will be contact as the repair begins.
