Goonies sequel release date still uncertain though the producer and director of the first film, Richard Donner said that the movie will be returning.
The hit movie during the 1980's is said to be returning in the big screens after its director and producer made a statement about its comeback. The Goonies is an adventure comedy film released on 1985 that became a block-buster hit. The Goonies sequel release date is still vague since rumors of doing a second part of the movie just continuously repeats.
Producer at the same time the director of the first film, Richard Donner told TMZ that he is making a sequel for the movie. When asked if he wants to make another comic book movie, the filmmaker responded, "If you call 'Goonies' a comic book. We're doing a sequel."
Donner also added that he wants to bring back the entire cast if possible but Goonies sequel release date was not confirmed by him. The original film, The Goonies of 1985 tells the story of band of teens who attempts to save their homes from demolition and their discovery of an ancient Spanish map that leads to the pirate, One-Eyed Willie.
Director Richard Donner hopes to reunite with the original casts which include Corey Feldman, Josh Brolin, Jeff Cohen, Sean Astin and Jonathan Ke Quan. As The Goonies sequel release date is being speculated, no affirmation from the power cast of the said film was also made.
