Fresh from the success of Oscar's Best Picture "12 Years a Slave", Chiwetel Ejiofor is set to appear in a James Bond film. He will play antagonist to Daniel Craig, reports say.
Sources from The Wrap reveal that Ejiofor is among the top choices to play villain in the 24th installment of the movie due out on 2015.
Should the movie project pursue, Ejiofor will join Daniel Craig, Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes and Naomie Harris portraying their previous roles as James Bond, M, Moneypenny and Q respectively.
Sam Mendes, director of the previous 007 movie, Skyfall has yet to confirm the report. Skyfall gross more than $1 billion worldwide and has won accolades from award-giving bodies including the Grammy's and Oscar's.
The production also has not yet confirmed other details on the movie, including the storyline and script which will be written by John Logan. Filming of the James Bond film will start on November this year.
The 36-year old Dancing on the Edge actor currently stars in the sci-fi nuclear war film "Z for Zachariah" along Margot Robbie and Chris Pine. He will play the role of 'Loomis'.
Ejiofor is considered as one of the finest actors of his generation. His role in the multi-awarded film, 12 Years a Slave received acclaim from critics and his co-actors alike. Its director, Steve McQueen, earlier said that he is the only person that depict the persona of Solomon Northup.
