The shooting incident that occurred in the Fort Hood military base in Texas has shocked many people as the shooting injured 16 non-civilians and has killed three more before committing suicide. The shooting spree began at around 4 P.M. on Wednesday and lasted for about 15 minutes after being confronted by a female military police officer. Shooter's identity was named to be Ivan Lopez.

According to Lt. Gen. Mark Milley, the soldier had recently self- diagnosed a traumatic brain injury but Lopez was not injured in combat while he was in Iraq for four months.
"We do know that this soldier had behavioral health and mental health issues and was being treated for that," Milley said in a press conference on Wednesday.
The gunman used a .45 caliber Smith and Wesson pistol and was reported to be unregistered.
