According to ShowbizSpy, Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys are indeed dating in real life. The on-screen couple playing married Russian KGB agents are actually romantically involved off-screen.
Ironically, Keri is still married to Shane Deary. But Perez Hilton reported back in December that Matthew Rhys' girlfriend has confirmed her split from Deary - her husband of nearly seven years - and even went as far as revealing that they had already agreed to call it quits since summer 2013.
Just after their confirmed split, a source told Perez that Matthew Rhys and rumored girlfriend Keri Russell were spotted walking around Keri's Brooklyn Heights neighborhood.
"They looked very much like a couple. They were laughing and walking closely together," said the source who saw them shopping and looking at furniture on the streets.
Meanwhile, a different insider told ShowbizSpy that Keri's estranged husband approves her relationship with Rhys.
"Keri, Shane and Matthew are like one big, happy family," the source said.
"Keri and Shane drifted apart romantically, and over the summer they realized that they were better as friends than lovers. Then Keri fell for Matthew, and she worried Shane would feel betrayed seeing how the two guys were close friends."
"But Shane is totally cool with it. He knows Matthew is a stand-up guy and trusts him implicitly with their kids," the source added. "What could have been an awkward, messy situation has turned into a bizarre Hollywood fairy tale."
It can be noted that back in 2008, Matthew Rhys' rumored girlfriend was Sienna Miller, his 'The Edge of Love' co-star.
In June 2008, Rhys finally opened up about the issue, denying that he was romantically involved with Sienna Miller.
"On-set romances are the worst idea in the world. You get caught up in the microcosm of filming, especially if you're playing romantic parts, and I'm only speaking from my own experience here, but it never really pans out afterwards," he was quoted saying back then.
As of late, no one has confirmed whether Keri Russell is indeed Matthew Rhys' girlfriend.
