However, it is inevitable that CBS will be casting new actors for the new series since it is not, in a way, related to its predecessor.
The cast and crew were already chosen and more than eager to start filming, but just yesterday, news broke that Krysta Rodriguez, who was supposedly playing one of the lead characters in the show, has exited from the spin-off even before its pilot episode was shot.
According to WebProNews, Rodriguez's exit was due to the casting change made by the producers since they wanted to take the lead character in a new direction.
Originally, the lead character named Juliet, to be played by Rodriguez, was a "sexy flamboyant force of nature who runs the most successful fashion blog in the country." She acts as a "kindred spirit" to her best friend Sally, to be played by Greta Gerwig.
A day after Rodriguez's exit, the 'How I Met Your Mother' spin-off team announced that they already found a replacement, and she is no other than Tiya Sircar.
