James Rebhorn passed away at the age of 65 in his home in New Jersey last Friday, March 21.
The Homeland actor appeared in over hundreds of movies, television shows and plays. After a long battle with melanoma, the actor has finally rest. He was survived by his wife Rebecca Linn Rebhorn and daughters Emma and Hannah Rebhorn.
James Rebhorn was diagnosed with melanoma on 1992 and continues to battle the said illness until his death on Friday. The actor died in his home in New Jersey on Friday afternoon, where he had been receiving hospice care for a week and a half. When the news of his death was confirmed, many of his friends particularly those who previously worked with were deeply saddened of his passing.
"Shocked and saddened to hear of James Rebhorn's passing. Jim was a consummate actor with whom I had the pleasure to work when we were young." Actress Frances Fisher posted in her Twitter account.
Other personalities also shared their sympathy towards the actor's sudden death.
"RIP James Rebhorn, a lovely man and a terrific actor." Jason Alexander posted on Twitter.
Film director Roland Emmerich also posted a tweet on Twitter saying: "It's a sad day. I just learned James Rebhorn passed. Such a great talent and always a joy to work with. RIP."
Actor James Rebhorn appeared in movies such as the 1996 film, "Independence Day", "Scent of a Woman" and "Meet the Parents". The actor who appeared in over hundreds of films was said to work no matter how big or small the role is.
Aside from his career in the movie and TV screens, James Rebhorn also had performances in the theater. The actor's stage career included seven Broadway productions and he also had several appearances with the Roundabout Theater Company.
