ST. PATRICK’S DAY IMAGES 2014 SHOWS HOW IRELAND AND OTHER COUNTRIES CELEBRATED GREEN PARADES IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE WORLD

St. Patrick's Day images of the celebration were posted as everyone goes green in different parts of the globe.

Annual celebration of St. Patrick's Day is on March 17 wherein many groups of people particularly the Catholics rejoice around the world. The day of St. Patrick's death is considered a cultural and a religious holiday in Ireland and is also celebrated in different parts of the world such as in USA, Canada, Britain, Australia and New Zealand.

St. Patrick's Day images significantly commemorates on how St. Patrick brought Christianity to Ireland. The Christian feast day was officially recognized in the early seventeenth century and has been observed by the Catholic Church together with the Eastern Orthodox Church and Lutheran Church. The Irish culture and heritage is also celebrated during this significant day.

It has been the people's common practice to wear green during the celebration of St. Patrick's Day every year. The color green is actually associated with Ireland since 1640s. St. Patrick's Day images have shown that people during the feast wear green clothing, accessories and shamrocks. This green shamrock was said to be what St. Patrick used to explain the Holy Trinity to Irish pagans when he set foot in Ireland.

Each year, as different parts of the world celebrates the St. Patrick's Day, one of its most common ways to celebrate is having a parade. This years' celebration in La Paz, Bolivia was said to have a double- sized parade compared to last year's celebration. Nearly 500,000 people turned out to enjoy the largest parade in Dublin with a theme of "Let's Make History". In New York City, St. Patrick's Day images have shown that Taoiseach Enda Kenny also marched down the city's streets to join the parade.

Celebration of the cultural and religious holiday of Ireland was also joined by different communities in almost 100 international landmarks. St. Patrick's Day images have definitely gone green.
