The Bud Light hotel is back and this time it's in Dallas for the biggest basketball tournament of the year.
With its success during Super Bowl XLVIII, the Bud Light Hotel is coming to Dallas to accommodate fans during the tournament finals.
Bud Light is planning to take over a hotel in Dallas from Saturday, April 5 through Tuesday, April 8. It will turn the hotel into the party place to be during the tournament finals. Guests from all over the country who win a contest will be able to enjoy the Bud Light Hotel Dallas throughout the weekend. They'll get to enjoy special areas like the Bud Light Platinum and the Bud Light Lounge Lime Poolside deck. The hotel itself will be completely decorated in Bud Light swag from signs, to pillows, to soap and even key cards.
The festivities begin on Saturday, April 5 with the official Bud Light Watch Party. On the following day, guests will have the chance to explore the hotel and all it has to offer. On Sunday night, there will be "Rolling Stone Live at the Bud Light Hotel," a VIP concert featuring Empire of the Sun and New Politics, followed by an after-party at the Bud Light Platinum Lounge. The festivities will come to an end on Monday with the pre-game Bud Light Tailgate party.
"For the past five years, Bud Light Hotel has been the premier party destination at Super Bowl," said Rob McCarthy, vice president, Bud Light. "Now we're expanding Bud Light Hotel and bringing the best parties and first-class entertainment to a different stage. With an outstanding music and entertainment lineup, we expect Bud Light Hotel Dallas to be the best place to enjoy all the action of the weekend."
Those who want a chance to stay at the Bud Light hotel have from now until March 23 to enter a contest. Those 21 and older can participate in the Bud Light Mini Hoops Challenge tournament in their favorite local bar or restaurant. In the contest, participants will have 35 seconds to bounce as many mini basketball into the basket as they can. The winners of the tournaments will earn the Ultimate Hoops Experience which includes a trip to the Bud Light Hotel, where they can play on a life-sized Mini Hoops Challenge.
For those who can't make it to the bar to enter, fans can try to win by playing a virtual version of the Mini Hoops Challenge on Anheuser-Busch's Fan Zone smartphone app. The app game functions in the same way as the real game. Players have 35 seconds to flick the virtual basketballs into the hoop. Those who score 30 points or more are entered into a drawing to win the Ultimate Hoops Experience.
