The said aircraft led by Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah, a senior pilot who has been working since 1981, took off from Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 12: 41 in the morning of March 8 which is scheduled to land in Beijing at around 6:05 in the morning, same day. It has been known that the aircraft is carrying 239 individuals, including the crew members.

The missing plane has reportedly lost its contact with the Subang Air Traffic Control at around 2: 40 A.M. It is just around 7:20 A.M that MAS confirmed that the Boeing 777 is missing since it never arrived to Beijing. The aircraft has been operational since 2002 according to the MAS officials. Since then, no reports of any technical failures have been noted. However, the thought of technical failure is still considered.

Many speculations about the reason of the plane's sudden disappearance also began to circulate. The idea of terrorism was never eradicated from the picture since it was reported that there were individuals with suspicious looks have boarded the plane and some have passport issues.

Moreover, a massive rescue mission has been established with an effort of locating the whereabouts of the aircraft and recovering the missing plane. Rescue teams from other nations including the US, Vietnam and Singapore are also doing their best to locate the aircraft.

Families of those who have boarded the plane came to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport to know what the newest updates are. They are very sad about what happened but are still hopeful that their loved ones are fine.

"We received info from MAS at 6.30 this morning and I pray that they are all safe. She is a good daughter-in-law," Putih Idris, a family member, said.
