John Travolta Oscars Video: Blunders Idina Menzel's Name And Apologizes

John Travolta Oscars video: Is the famous actor's name blunder excusable?

John Travolta's Oscars video where the actor mispronounced 'Frozen' singer Idina Menzel's name has been circulating around the web after it aired during the 2014 Academy Awards. And as it is many a people's favourite talking about highlights during any awards night, the unfortunate incident went abuzz instantly.

John Travolta apparently had a rough time with his pronouncing Idina Menzel's name while presenting her for her performance at the 86th Academy Awards on March 2, Sunday in Hollywood.

Held at the Dolby Theatre, the 2014 Oscars magnified the 60-year-old's imperfections. In John Travolta's Oscars video, he mistakes Idina Menzel's name with something which sounded like "Adele Dazeem". This is a painful, if not a hilarious thing to witness to anyone very familiar with the "Frozen" and "Glee" actress.

Travolta announced her for her performance of "Let It Go" during the show. The song from "Frozen" won the award for Best Original Song while the film itself won Best Animated Film.

Whether in outrage (if you're an avid Menzel fan), or in mirth, your reaction is entirely up to you. But is the blunder excusable? Last year, Travolta also mispronounced "Les Miserables" during an introduction.

Perhaps when it comes to pronunciations, John Travolta shouldn't be so much left to his own devices and cue cards written out phonetically are more apt for him.

In all due respect though, John Travolta has publicly apologised for mistaking Idina Menzel's name as he presented it during the Oscars.

The John Travolta's Oscars video blunder has been tried to be remedied on by the actor himself in a statement: "I've been beating myself up all day. Then I thought, what would Idina Menzel say? She'd say, let it go, let it go!" And added, "Idina is incredibly talented and I am so happy Frozen took home two Oscars Sunday night!"

As for Menzel's part, she took it like a sport as a source told told People. Instead of annoyance, the the 42-year-old Broadway star even "thought it was funny."

John Travolta Oscars Video Blunder should be "let go". Let's take a cue then from both stars' comments and just indeed, "let it go".
