Widely regarded as the coolest, most fashionable hotel in Milan at the moment, the NHow is a beautiful combination of chic design, with quirkly little details like retro egg chairs and bizarre sculptures. The NHow hotel is also only a ten minute walk to Porta Genova station, where you can take the green metro line to convenient stops.

The service is great in this hotel, particularly if you're a single female traveller; they'll really look after you.

Doubletree Hilton Milan (£60+pppn)

About 40 mins outside the city centre by tram (which stops outside), it's worth booking here if you're looking for a lower-priced hotel in Milan. Honestly, the trams are never a problem, especially if you're visiting on leisure. The hotel is located in a generally quiet neighbourhood area.

The staff are very friendly and helpful as well. A very nice boutique hotel for such a low price.

Maison Moschino (£125+pppn)

Truly a 'fashion' themed hotel, the Maison Moschino is perfect for a girly holiday. The decor here is truly innovatine and amazing, with decors such as tea cup shaped coffee tables and some rooms have prom dresses as fixtures on the walls and handbag-shaped lamps.

If you're looking for a hotel that's straight out of a dream, this is the place to book.

Hub Hotel (£51+pppn)

The Hub offers a free shuttle to the Certosa train station and has a free fitness centre, swimming pool and hot tub.

The hotel has minimal and chic decor, and features an absolutely gorgeous outdoor swimming and lounge are with wicker chairs where you can soak up the sun in the summer.

The rooms are clean and bright and again, the hotel staff are very friendly.

Idea Hotel Milano Watttredici (£37+pppn)

Worth mentioning for the delicious homemade pastries at breakfast-time, this hotel concentrates on being eco-friendly, through to saving water on the showers without comprmising luxury on your stay. The hotel is close to a supermarket, a few little ice-cream parlous and you get cocktails served in the lounge in the evening.
