It's Valentine's Day, and if you find yourself in your date's apartment tonight, you don't have to sneak inside his room just to see if he can stay with you for the long term. There's a new way to check if a guy is actually relationship material - check his fridge.
According to John Stonehill, creator of website CheckTheirFridge.com, you can determine if your date's in it for the long term based on what's inside his fridge.
The Daily Mail says that Stonehill started checking the fridges of his own dates when he was in college. Now that he's 42 years old and married, he considers himself a "refrigerator dating expert." If you want to find out if a guy is long term material worthy, just take a snapshot of the inside of his fridge then send it to Stonehill.
Stonehill believes that every person who's dateable long term should have wine, an hors d'ouevre, bottled water, freezer munchies, and dessert. However, if you spot red flags like entire dead animals, bodily fluids, or grime in his fridge, you should probably run out of there as fast as you could.
However, this might not ring true for everyone who aren't financially stable. With the rent, bills, and so on, it is possible that people who aren't financially sound may not pass the standards of CheckTheirFridge.com.
Still, in the end, it's up to you if you will believe the results. It's still your choice who you want to be with or not.
If you have a fridge you want Stonehill to take a look at? Send it to him at CheckTheirFridge.com. Have a happy Valentine's date!
