Low-cost Thai airline Nok Air is releasing their 2014 Calendar with Playboy Bunnies posing for the pictures.
The budget airline is competing with Ireland's Ryanair airline with their new calendar. Ryanair has also released their calendar with the concept of having a skimpy flight attendant posing for the pictures.
Nok Air took the concept of Ryanair but twisted it to a totally different style. Instead of using one of their flight attendants as a model, they used Thailand's 10 hottest Playboy bunnies. The budget airline called Playboy Thailand and was able to get a collaboration with the men's publication to get their 10 Hottest Bunnies for the shoot. The sizzling bunnies posed beside Nok's fleet of Boeing 737s and ATR 72s to produce the calendar.
If you think this is a new thing in airline marketing, this isn't really something novel anymore. Just last year, Nok Air already shocked people when they featured a set of sexy Maxim Models in the pages of their calendar. Nok took ladies from the outside to take the place of their actual staff.
This didn't last without creating a huge wave of controversy in the country. The nearly nude photos didn't bode well with the conservatives of the Thailand. Nok Air apparently wasn't able to live up to their slogan of "We Fly Smiles" whilst ticking people off. The Thailand Ministry of Culture was angered because the photos "didn't promote the country in a proper, positive light".
This, apparently wasn't enough. Nok Air also published an advertisement on Facebook trying to find flight attendants for its fleet. It may come as a surprise because some of the requirements included having relative height and weight, a minimum age of 25 years old, and braces are completely not allowed. Whatever their reasons, the calendar sure sells.
The flirty 2014 calendar is available for a preview download at their website here or see photos at their Instagram account.
