New updates on the Philip Seymour Hoffman death lead to the recent discovery that the actor may have been preparing for a drug binge before he was even found dead by his friend.
TMZ is one of the many entertainment websites that made a report on how cops gathered around 50 bags of heroin inside his New York City apartment. Initial reports stated there were only 10 bags but the latest shocking news lead to five times more.
The day before Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead, the actor reportedly went to a coffee shop he likes hanging out in to enjoy a four-shot espresso drink. Then that same night, he also met two people for dinner right at a restaurant in West Village.
CNN reports that the actor's long time partner and also the mom of his kids stated that Mr Hoffman was somewhat 'high.' Police investigators were trying to get into more details of his whereabouts and behavioral pattern for the past weekend to discover whether there may have been a frame-up.
During the morning of the day he was found dead, the actor did not show up in his partner's home to pick up his three kids. This is what rose a bit of a concern for the family. It was playwright David Katz who helped on checking on what happened to the actor. According to Mr Katz, the actor was wearing a T-shirt and shorts with a syringe in his left arm. His pair of eyeglasses were still on his head.
Apart from the 50 envelopes of heroin discovered by the investigators, other sources from the law enforcement also mentioned finding used syringes, empty bags used for heroin and even prescription drugs.
It still remains a mystery though why the actor fell into a relapse when everyone believed him to be already sober for more than two decades.
