J.K. Rowling: Harry Potter and Hermione should have wed

Harry Potter book series writer J.K. Rowling admits that she should have married Harry Potter and Hermione Granger.

The Sunday Times newspaper has held an interview with the British author, and in the interview, Rowling says the marriage of Ron and Hermione would probably have ended up in marriage counselling.

Another dialogue with the author by Wonderland magazine due out next Friday, she said, "For reasons that have very little to do with literature and far more to do with me clinging to the plot as I first imagined it, Hermione ended up with Ron,"

The Harry Potter book series and movie franchise has garnered a lot of attention and devoted fans over the past decade. If you are one to have followed the story of the three main characters - Harry, Hermione and Ron - it is apparent that the relationship of the three is unparalleled, more so the connection between Harry and Hermione.

Rowling finally confesses her mistake and is sorry for it. "I know, I'm sorry, I can hear the rage and fury it might cause some fans, but if I'm absolutely honest, distance has given me perspective on that. It was a choice I made for very personal reasons, not for reasons of credibility. Am I breaking people's hearts by saying this? I hope not."

Of course, to make things more interesting, British actress Emma Watson, the actress who played Hermione in the blockbuster movie series, was the one who interviewed her for Wonderland.

The talented actress even agreed with Rowling and said that there are many fans in the world who know that fact and she also wonders if Ron really would have made Hermione happy.

To date, J.K. Rowling has sold over more than 450 million copies of the Harry Potter novels. According to Sunday Times' Rich List 2013, the movie franchise has been estimated to amount to over £560 million ($920 million, 683 million euros).
