Alec Baldwin Incorrectly Accuses the TSA of Patting Down His 5-Month-Old Daughter in Bahamas

Alec Baldwin went on yet another Twitter tirade. This time it was against the TSA, but it seems that Baldwin was a bit confused in his accusation.

The "Blue Jasmine" actor, his wife Hilaria Baldwin and their 5-month-old daughter Carmen, got to have a winter escape to the Bahamas. However the return trip experience wasn't so enjoyable. Baldwin was unhappy with what happened when his family was trying to depart Nassau airport and took to Twitter to explain.

"Flying from Nassau, Bahamas 2 NY. TSA 'random selects' my 5 month old daughter 4 a pat down," he wrote Monday, Jan. 27. "I am not kidding," the disgruntled actor tweeted along with the hashtag, "#travelinginUSisadisgrace."

The 55-year-old "30 Rock" alum seems to have gotten his facts wrong and many called him out on it. According to a senior Homeland Security official who spoke to NBC News, the TSA is not responsible for security screenings in the Bahamas and they have a policy in which they don't pat down children under the age of 12, although this was allowed in the past. In addition to this, the Bahamas is not a U.S. territory. It is in fact a group of tropical islands in the Atlantic Ocean which make up its own nation, so the TSA doesn't exist in the area.

Many called out the actor on his mistake on Twitter, causing him to respond with, "So, I guess there is a TSA-like function as you go through US customs in Nassau. But you sophisticate, you! You got me," he wrote.

Despite the alleged security issue, it didn't seem to bother Hilaria Baldwin too much. One she boarded the plane, she broke out into a yoga pose in front of fellow passengers. She posted a photo of herself posing in the aisle to Instagram as passengers stared at her. "I'm sorry. You've never seen airplane pose at 35,000 feet? #yogapostureoftheday #hilariaypd thank you to all my fellow passenger yoga buddies!" she wrote in the caption.
