A petition pleading President Barack Obama to deport Justin Bieber has reached 50,000 signatures over the course of a few days.
The petition was posted on the White House website and has already reached half of the intended 50,000 signatures it needs to warrant a response from the Government, despite only being up for a few days. It asks that Bieber be deported back to his home in Canada and his American Green Card to be taken away. It reads: "We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive and drug abusing Justing Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nation's youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society."
Bieber has been a polarising figure throughout his career, with an almost universal split of love and hate. Bieber is viciously defended by his fans, known as 'Beliebers'. Bieber was arrested recently in Miami beach for drag racing under the influence of drink and rugs in a rented yellow Lamborghini, though he also owns one. The singer violently resisted arrest, swearing at the officer as he tried to pat him down for weapons. A police spokesman confirmed Bieber had ingested alcohol, smoked marijuana and taken prescription pills. Earlier in the week, Bieber allegedly blew $75K in a Miami stripclub.
The singer has been ruffling feathers for a while now with his rude behaviour.
Are you a fan? Is he a bad boy, or just misunderstood?
