Beautiful Existence (yes, that's her name) has had an extraordinary year for keeping new year's resolutions. Last year, she vowed to only eat food and drink from Starbucks for the year of 2013.
And 365 days later, she has but one word on her lips: success!
But this leaves the rest of us with a million rounds of twenty-one questions. First, Starbucks isn't cheap. How much did she spend? What did she eat? How does she feel? Why did she do it? Why did she pick Starbucks? What did her family think?
And of course, what's her resolution for 2014?
Beautiful Existence totals her monthly costs ranging around $500-$600. That's a little over $100 per week, which isn't too shabby considering she "ate out" for every meal. Luckily, this past year Starbucks enlisted La Boulange to revamp and improve the usual offerings of scones, muffins, tea cakes, croissants, cake pops, and brownies. The usual offerings of grab-and-go sandwiches and salads have also had a make-over, so Beautiful Existence had an entire array of breakfast, lunch, and dinner eats (and as always, drinks) to choose from.
Her favorite items were the sandwiches and smoothies, as well as the recently updated pastries from La Boulange.
She claims to feel great- and that she even lost weight! The hardest part, she claims, was the last month (likely due to holiday events and office parties).
And to answer the most burning question - why - Beautiful Existence explains her Starbucks-only year in her blog:
"WHY? am I doing this challenge? Or WHY? will I do any challenge in the future? Because I LOVE being human and I LOVE the privilege of being able to ask the question WHY? in the first place!"
So, what's on her list for this year? According to her blog, she plans to learn 80 recreational sports.
