A woman was restrained on a JetBlue flight and taken off the plane on Christmas eve after she threw a fit when she was refused another drink.
Trish Sen, 39, was flying from Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale when she became very aggressive on the flight. There are different reports on what happened. According to ABC news, Sen became angry after she was refused another drink. Some reports say that she was so out of control that she scratched the pilot.
According to CBS, Sen said she was just trying to get back to her seat when the flight crew attacked her. She says she wasn't drunk.
A police report shows that Sen did scratch the pilot. "He was scratched on both arms while trying to restrain suspect Sen who was disruptive and failing to comply with the flight crew's instructions while in flight. I did observe numerous scratches on the victim's arms," the police report said.
JetBlue released a statement about the incident, saying, "On December 23, a customer onboard Flt 100 LAX-FLL exhibited aggressive behavior and had to be restrained. Local law enforcement met the aircraft upon arrival. We are cooperating with law enforcement's investigation."
Sen was removed from the plane and was taken to Broward jail. She was released at $1,000 bail. She went to the Fort Lauderdale court on Christmas day and she showed the bruises on her arms to the judge. The judge told her to document them for her upcoming trial in Ft. Lauderdale.
