Unruly female passenger cuffed and escorted off JetBlue flight after striking altercation with pilot

An unruly female passenger was handcuffed and escorted by police off a JetBlue flight in Florida on Christmas Eve.

According to several reports, a Los Angeles woman was handcuffed in a JetBlue flight and was escorted off the plane when she began to act violent during the flight.

The unruly passenger was identified by authorities as 39-year-old Trisha Sen from Los Angeles.

The flight landed on Christmas Eve in Florida and some reports claimed that Sen was upset when "she wasn't sure of her drink."

Her violent gesture led to an altercation with the pilot and one eyewitness said, "...he [the pilot] was scratched on both arms while trying to restrain suspect Sen who was disruptive and failing to comply with the flight crew instructions while in flight."

Meanwhile, one of the passengers uploaded a video of the happenings inside the plane when Sen was handcuffed and was escorted off the flight. The witness even wrote on Twitter, "Strangest flight yet - red eye, lady goes nuts and starts yelling all over the place, she is cuffed..."

The following day, the unruly passenger appeared in court claiming that she was not involved in any similar case before adding that she even have some bruises on her arms because of the incident. However, the judge told Sen that she needs "to save that for her trial."

The unruly passenger is currently charged with battery for allegedly scratching a pilot.

An official statement from JetBlue regarding the incident reads: "On Dec. 23, a customer onboard flt 100 LAX-FLL exhibited aggressive behavior and had to be restrained. Local law enforcement met the aircraft upon arrival. We are cooperating with law enforcement's investigation."
