Carnival cruise ships are famous for their dining rooms that offer almost everything and anything on their bountiful tables. But the world's largest cruise company is still considering upgrading its menus; thus, Cruise has announced today that its new menus are to roll out starting next week with Carnival Glory.
Carnival wants to add more spice to the dining experience it offers its patrons. And just a few days from this day, passengers will surely have a taste and glimpse of the new menus, place settings, and dinner "concepts" with its Carnival Glory. The pilot program is then expected to continue on the other Carnival cruise ships come 2014.
In January, Carnival Liberty will also feature the upgraded menu and dining experience while Carnival Imagination and Carnival Inspiration are expected to follow in suit in February.
According to USA Today, food is the key factor in satisfying cruise passengers; thus, the changes Carnival wants to uphold simply show its commitment to upgrading its typical offerings.
"We're constantly looking for new ways to provide our guests with exceptional meals and service that become a highlight of their vacation," Carnival's Senior Vice President of Guest Operations Mark Tamis said in a statement.
The upgrade will include an extensive stand-alone cocktail menu as well as a variety of featured wines.
Carnival's official statement reveals that one of its main menu concepts called "American Table" will be presented on casual dining nights, adding that it is inspired by contemporary restaurants that offer familiar American regional, contemporary dishes.
Additionally, the cruise company is also pleased to introduce its "Port of Call" entree selections that will pretty much serve food inspired by the ship's location. For example, passengers can expect mango salad and chicken curry with potato crisps and chutney when the ship is in St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Meanwhile, elegant dining nights will offer American Feast menus that are basically inspired by special-occasion restaurants and courses.
Carnival's menu upgrade was developed in conjunction with New York-based Union Square Hospitality Group, an established entertainment, food, and hospitality organization, according to USA Today.
