Two people were seriously injured in a Muckleshoot Casino shooting on Saturday night. A man opened fire in the parking garage of the casino and two people became victims.
Police responded to the casino after there were reports of a shooting at the location at around 8:45 p.m. When officers arrived, there were two men injured by bullets, the Auburn Police said according to PNWlocalnews.com.
The casino is located in Auburn in Washington State. Auburn is about halfway between Seattle and Tacoma.
Medics arrived on the scene and treated the victims before transporting them to Harborview Hospital. The men are in serious condition.
The Auburn police were able to quickly locate the suspect's vehicle close to the casino. The man had tried to drive away from the scene but police apprehended him. The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody and was brought to the Auburn Police Station. The suspect was booked into the SCORE Jail and is going to be transferred to the King County Jail. The suspect is being held and may be charged with two counts of assault in the first degree. His name has not been released.
It seems that the shooting started as the result of an altercation between the victims and the shooter. The shooter had been speeding and one of the victims yelled at him to slow down. The man opened fire. It occurred near the parking garage entrance. The victims had been running back towards the casino entrance when they were shot. Detectives are continuing to investigate the scene. Both of the victims are in their 20s. They are expected to survive.
