November is a great time to visit Nashville, especially if you are hoping to spot some celebrities, according to USA Today.

The month hosts award ceremonies and once-a-year industry banquets in November. Among them are the Country Music Association Awards, which will air on Wednesday. In the week surrounding the awards show, artists will gather to honor songwriters and industry peers at BMI, ASCAP and SESAC banquets that will be held during this week surrounding the show.

For fans hoping for a glimpse of their favorite star, plan on visiting some of the restaurants and coffee shops. The secret is knowing which ones to visit and what to do if you see someone you recognize.

Hayden Panettiere has said she's a fan of Santa's Pub and South Street. Another popular place is The Tippler in Midtown, which is located at the bottom of the Adelicia residential tower that houses many of the area's most popular artists.

The Palm, which is located directly across the street from the Bridgestone Center Arena, which often is playing host to celebrities like Peyton Manning and Mel Gibson, both stars that have recently been seen there and are also outside the country music arena.

One place where you can catch stars in an atmosphere where approaching them is acceptable is at performances, such as Luke Bryan performing on "Good Morning America" on Wednesday morning and the CMA Awards that will occur Wednesday evening. These are areas where the stars will be walking along the red carpet, more likely to be open to approaching fans, as they are in a situation where they are in a performing work mentality.

In addition to star spotting, visitors to Nashville should check out the Ryman Auditorium, which is an historic arena.
