Happy Halloween! Candy isn't the only thing being given out for free this season. There are many opportunities to get free food as well on October 31st. Several eateries have special deals this holiday.
Here are some examples of where to get free meals or discounts this Halloween 2013:
IHOP: Kids age 12 and under can get a free Scary Face" Pancake at IHOP. The special pancake has a whipped-cream smile dotted with candy corn. The promotion last from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Chipotle: From 4 p.m. until closing, Chipotle is offering a special "Boorito" promo. All customers dressed in costumes get a $3 burrito, bowl, salad, or order of tacos. Proceeds from the sales, up to $1 million, goes towards charity. The program has raised more than $3 million over the past three years.
Krispy Kreme: Come wearing a Halloween costume and receive a free Halloween donut. It's as easy as that.
LongHorn Steakhouse: Get a free kids meal with the purchase of an adult entree.

"Halloween isn't a day you're going to see a lot of kids in restaurants-they're trick or treating," Jay Spenchian, executive vice president of marketing at Olive Garden said according to USA Today. "We see this as an opportunity to help drive additional traffic into the restaurant on an historically slow day."
