The recently renovated Disney Magic is back on the water, ready for cruise passengers to enjoy their vacation, according to FOX News.
The ship now has a three-story waterslide, the AquaDunk that sends guests on a drop that is almost vertical, with a floor that opens beneath them like a trap door. Riders slide through a translucent tube that curves 20 feet over the side of the ship, overlooking the ocean.
Aside from the waterslide, there are plenty of activities for both kids and adults to choose from onboard the ship.
"We touched every space of the ship," Lysa Migliorati, the senior project manager of Disney, said. "It was a complete remodel, but it was important to maintain the profile of the ship."
The newly designed ship has a new, spacious Lobby Atrium. A second staircase was removed from the lobby and a Dale Chihuly chandelier is gone, with a new Art Deco chandelier in its place.
"We like the set up of the Dream and the Fantasy, where you walk in and you have more space," Migliorati said.
Another major attraction for kids is the new Oceaneer Club, which is a four-room area for three to 12 year olds. It includes The Marvel's Avengers Academy. Guests can even virtually wear one of Iron Man's suits during a simulated training experience on a large video screen display.
There is also a Toy Story attraction and Mouseketeer training.
New dining options are available as well, including Drawn to Magic, which has fire-roasted beef tenderloin and wasabi mashed potatoes, grilled veal chop and orange cheesecake.
"I think it touches the parents sometimes more than the kids," Karl Holz, the president of Disney Cruise Lines, said. "It's a very touching, heartfelt experience."
There is also a new nightclub, Fathoms, which features comedy acts and a dance floor. There are also restaurants that feature live music.
"We built these ships so there would be something for everyone in the family," Tom Staggs, the chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. "It's nice when every member of the family feels like the vacation was designed with them in mind."
