The town is full of stories of hauntings in local homes and businesses.Visitors can take a haunted ghost walk to experience it for themselves. Travelocity recommends saying at the Hilton Hotel and Suites Niagara Falls Fallsview to relax with a view of Niagara Falls after going on a spooky adventure.
Montreal, QC: This old and historic Canadian city is also home to the paranormal. There is more than 200 years of history in Montreal with everything from hangings, torture to murder. Travelocity recommends that those who are brave take a ghost walk or go on a ghost hunt with Fantomes Montreal Ghosts which takes guests on a journey through time and brings you face-to-face with the ghosts of Old Montreal's past. Stay at Le Petite Hotel in the historic District which is located near many ghost tours.
Vancouver, BC: Vancouver has a history od death, mayhem and murder, making it another spooky location. October is reportedly the best time of year to sense spirits. Some spirits include the hitchhiking ghost of UBC and those of the haunted and historic Mountain View Cemetery. Travelocity says to stay at the landmark Fairmont Hotel Vancouver to see its for gorgeous architecture. It's elevator sometimes makes unscheduled stops to the 14th floor and guests sometimes catch a glimpse of a female spirit dressed in red that floats down the hallway.
Ottawa, ON: Both locals and visitors alike are fascinated by the glimpses into the darker history and haunting of the nation's capital. Guests can check out the haunting of the Bytown Museum, Grant House and Chateau Laurier. There are also ghost walks and haunted walks which highlight the unexpected haunted history of the city.
