Eddie Guerrero is alive? At least that's what the Internet is saying. However the wrestling star didn't rise from the dead. The rumors of his return are nothing but a hoax. Eddie Guerrero is not alive.
A report surfaced this week which claims that Eddie Guerrero isn't actually dead. Guerrero died on November 13, 2005 from heart failure at age 38. However the report by Kayfabe News says he "has cunningly been "playing possum" all along."
"Viva la Raza!" Guerrero proclaimed at a press conference this morning, looking a little older but still in fantastic shape and endearingly mischievous.
"I told you I always lie, cheat and steal!"
Guerrero admits he "might have oversold the whole not-being-alive thing," but that it was worth it just to see the looks on people's faces when he returned.
"Vintage Guerrero!" exclaimed commentator Michael Cole.
The former WWE champion announced his intention to return to the ring at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, where he intends to attack fellow Mexican Alberto Del Rio for kissing his wife, Vickie, and for general gimmick infringement."
If fans read the entire story, it says at the bottom, "Kayfabe News sincerely wishes this story would come true."
Kayfabe creates fake news about wrestling. A decription of Kayfabe News says "Unreal news about an unreal sport."
Yet some fans seem to have fallen for the hoax. Many took to Twitter to discuss the rumors. Some examples of tweets include:
"EDDIE GUERRERO ISN'T F***ING DEAD YES!!!!!!!"
"Eddie Guerrero is alive? Is this true?"
"Apparently Eddie Guerrero is still alive :o"
"Eddie Guerrero is still alive. My whole childhood has just been smashed to bits"
"OMG Eddie Guerrero's alive!?!?! HAHAHAHA #VivaLaRazaaa"
Sorry to disappoint, but Guerrero is as alive as Tupac.
