Rumors started making waves across social media sites like Facebook and Twitter saying that Spears died. People were seeing messages that said the pop star was found dead in an apparent drug overdose.
It is not clear where or how the rumor started, but it's nothing more than a rumor. Spears is alive and well and the rumor is false. No credible news sources have confirmed the singer's death. With a star so big, her death would be announced across the world if it were true. There were reports in 2012 of Spears' former manager Sam Lufti claiming that the singer had overdosed on amphetamines during her breakdown. This was never confirmed.

She recently released the video for her hew song "Work B*tch." She also announced that she will be taking on a two year residency in Las Vegas with shows beginning in December. She is currently in London, as she tweeted, "Lots of fun in London doing press today!! Always love when I get to visit the UK! xo."
