Drunk Dial Congress: Mad over the Government Shutdown? Let them Know!

Mad about the government shutdown? Why not drunk dial Congress and let them know about it? A hilarious new website is helping Americans do just that.

The appropriately named site, DrunkDialCongress.org, allows users to enter their phone number and they receive a call back. The call includes a recording of a drunk man slurring his speech who then goes on a rant about how great it is to get drunk and tell people how you really feel. The system then connects the caller with a real phone number for a random member of Congress.

The site says, "whether you are a furloughed worker, being forced to work for free, or just fed up at Capital Hill, call and yell at a random emmber of Congress."

For those who aren't quite sure what to complain to Congress about, the site offers some suggestions like,

"How dare you?

"You jerks are costing the country $12 million bucks per hour!"

"I can't watch the panda."

"You had one job to do & you failed!"

"You guys aren't funding the police who defended you?"

"How dare you not fund veterans."

"Why don't you make yourself useful and at least mow the lawn?"

"My kids won't stop yelling at me about camping."

"My Grandma can't get her cancer treatment."

For those who aren't quite sure how to get their drunk dialing going, the site also offers drink recipes for theme drinks such as "The Bad Representative," "The Sleepy Senator," "The Southern Congressman" and "The Fancy Statesman."
