Britney Spears is Vegas Bound for the next two years. The singer put the rumors to rest and officially announced that she will take a two-year-residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.
Spears made an appearance on Good Morning America on Tuesday to make the big announcement. The 31-year-old former teen star will take the Vegas stage starting on Dec. 27 and will performs 50 shows over the two year period, the New York Daily News reports.
With a big show coming up, Spears made her announcement a big one. She performed a live helicopter stunt in Vegas where she was greeted by more than 1,000 fans. Spears said that shows will consist of a combination of brand new songs along with her classic hits. The Planet Hollywood venue has an atmosphere that's part dance club and part theater.
"We wanted the environment to be that way so people could come and have a good time and stand up and feel like they're in the show with me," Spears said. "I love Vegas. The energy here is really, really good."
Spears just released her first single, "Work Bitch" off her eight studio album. The album will be released on Dec. 3. Tickets to the Vegas stint will go on sale starting this week.
"I want to see ALL of your faces there over these next two years... I mean it!! Tickets for the 1st shows go on sale this Fri 9/20 @ 10am PST," she tweeted to her more than 31 million followers.
