A 13-year-old girl refuses to leave the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in China, according to FOX News. The girl, Luo Siqi, dresses like a flight attendant and won't leave without a flight attendant job.
Local police and the girl's parents are confused by her decision. Her parents want police to investigate because they suspect that someone has been influencing her actions.
Luo has been in the airport since July when she left to "take a look at the big city." However, she first came to the notice of officials in August when they first questioned her.
Luo was dressed in a China Southern Airlines flight attendant uniform when officials questioned her. She was also carrying documents about the airline.
She was to a children's welfare center in the airport by police on two occasions, but insisted on returning to the airport, where she remains.
"I am truly in love with the sky," Luo said police, according to the New Express Daily. "Let me go to the airport."
She has also told the paper that she was abandoned by her biological parents shortly after her birth and has since been adopted more than once, sounding similar to foster care in the U.S.
Luo graduated from elementary school but isn't currently enrolled in middle school. She resides in Luoding with her cousin, who is a relative of her adopted father, who is currently lives in a senior care center.
"I love blue sky, and have always dreamed of flying," she said. "By doing this, I am a bit closer to my dream."
Luo acquired her outfits online.
"I once bought four suits at the same time [to accommodate] four different seasons."
Airline uniforms can be purchased on the web site Taobao.com, which is the country's largest online shopping site. The uniforms cost between 280 and 3,000 Yuan.
