Disneyland Paris is far from the happiest place on earth according to thousands of travelers who have visited the theme park. Several thousand people signed a petition claiming that the park is going downhill and needs major help.
"The upkeep of parks, attractions and hotels has been neglected so often during the past 20 years that many facilities are not 'Disney standard'," the petition says according to News.com.au. "Many themed elements are decaying and crumbling, while others are literally falling apart."
The petition is available in six different languages and has been signed by more than 5,000 people.
The petition was started by a Belgian named Guillaume Gallant, who claims that when he went to the park recently, four live shows had been cancelled and several attractions were closed.
The petition reflect thousands of angry comments as a record 16 million people visited Disneyland Paris last year.
Gallant says that the lack of live entertainment reached a new peak as this summer was the first time there was not one single stage show in the park.
Many Britons have supported Gallant including Jake Howarth of London who said, "I have long been a visitor to Disneyland Paris, and over the last few years have sadly seen a decline in a number of things, all of which have been mentioned in the petition."
"I expect value for money and having stayed there a number of times I feel the value has dropped with each subsequent visit," Tim Nightingale, of Chatteris, Cambridgeshire said.
A Disneyland Paris spokesman responded to the claims saying that management is "dedicated to ensuring that our resort offers each of its guests a magical experience. We take guest comments very seriously and use them to help us evaluate our processes and procedures."
