Chloe Moretz Dead? Actress Becomes Victim of Internet Death Hoax

Chloe Moretz is dead. At least that's what the Internet is saying. However the "Kickass" actress didn't die. She's just the victim of an Internet death hoax. Chloe Moretz is just fine.

A report surfaced this week saying that Moretz died in a snowboarding accident. Global Associated News reported "Actor Chloe Moretz is reported to have died shortly after a snowboard accident earlier today - September 15, 2013. The actor & novice snowboarder was vacationing at the Zermatt ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland with family and friends. Witnesses indicate that Chloe Moretz lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed.

Chloe Moretz was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital, however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the impact of the crash. The actor was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played any part in his death."

Since there are so many details to the story, it might be easy to believe that it's real. However the report is false. Global Associated News is a generator that is used to create fake news reports.

A message at the bottom of the site reads: "FAKE... THIS STORY IS 100% FAKE! this is an entertainment website, and this is a totally fake article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purposes!"

If that wasn't enough proof, the article also refers to Moretz as a "he," which she definitely is not. She also took to Twitter to prove that she is alive and well saying, "I don't know who made this up but you're disgusting.I am not dead.I did not die from snowboarding. It isn't even snowing here in Switzerland. I've had my loved ones calling crying to check and see if I'm alive. Don't make this up. It's not real.I am fully alive and here. You're sick."
