As Season 17 of Dancing With the Stars is about to start on September 16, fans of the show can also start booking a spot on the cruise trip, "Dancing with the Stars: At Sea."
Last-minute bookings are available for one of two upcoming "Dancing with the Stars" theme cruises on Holland America's Nieuw Amsterdam, USA Today reports.
According to the cruise line, show dancers Kym Johnson and Tristan MacManus will join the 2,106-passengers for the ship's Jan. 5 sailing of the "Dancing with the Stars: At Sea" theme cruise and a Jan. 12 Champions Cruise. The cruise will also be joined by actress and former celebrity participant Sabrina Bryan. Additional stars are also expected to be announced.
Johnson, MacManus and Bryn will all perform for passengers and will participate in activities on board such as meet-and-greets with passengers and question-and-answer sessions.
The special Champions Cruise sailing on Jan. 12 will features winners of "Dancing with the Stars: At Sea" competitions held over the past year on all 15 ships in the Holland America fleet. The latest trips are part of a long-growing series of Dancing with the Stars theme journeys.
All guests on "Dancing with the Stars" theme cruises are invited to take complimentary dance classes based on routines from the show. It is a great opportunity to learn new steps. A "Dancing with the Stars: At Sea" competition is also held on the main stage with Holland America Line professional dancers.
Points are awarded by a panel of three judges and audience participation. A winner is selected and all of the winners have been invited to take part in the Jan. 12 sailing for the championship.
Both the Jan. 5 and Jan. 12 sailing are seven-night cruises the depart Fort Lauderdale and head to the Caribbean. The Jan. 5 sailing goes to the Eastern Caribbean and the Jan. 12 sailing goes to the Western Caribbean.
