The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas: Plans to Open Social Club Rose.Rabbit.Lie

The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas is planning a social club to open in late December. The venue is not a club or a bar or a restaurant but a social club called Rose.Rabbit.Lie.

"The Cosmopolitan is referring to Rose.Rabbit.Lie. as a social club. While there are entertainment and dining elements to Rose.Rabbit.Lie., The Cosmopolitan considers this a social experiment, one that plays with visitors' expectations for a night out," reported USA Today.

John Unwin, Cosmopolitan CEO said to USA Today, "Guests are surrounded by the evening and become part of the experience the moment they arrive. There's a storytelling element to all of this, as in, 'You had to be there.' It's an intangible, like putting together a great party."

The club is set to open in late December and has plans to be a mix of a bar, restaurant, club and entertainment venue.

A new club is slated to open at the Cosmopolitan in late December.

Marketed as a rebirth of the social club, Rose.Rabbit.Lie will be a complex mix of restaurant, bar, club and entertainment venue, resort officials say.

"The idea of a modern social club is inspired by the spirit of Johnny Carson, Desi Arnaz and Circus Maximus - the past that still captures a romantic piece of real estate in our minds," Unwin said in a statement according to The Las Vegas Sun. "It's personal and intimate one moment, grandiose and inclusive the next. Guests are surrounded by the evening and become part of the experience the moment they arrive."

The hotel has partnered with Coastal Luxury Management for the concept. They have also created Restaurant 1833 in Monterey, CA and Faith & Flower in Los Angeles slated to open later this year. USA Today reported that Coastal Luury will oversee the culinary portion of Rose.Rabbit.Lie.

"One of the definite tangibles of the AvroKo-designed spot will be the food and beverage program that nods towards classics interpreted with modern sensibilities and trends - think 1970s cherries Jubilee reinvented in 2013," reported USA Today.
