Olivia Newton-John was given a shock after a man was found dead in her home.
The singer and actress, best known for her role as Sandy in "Grease," is shaken up after a 42-year-old man was found shot dead at her Jupiter, Fla. home shortly after 12 p.m. on Monday.
According to Jupiter Police spokesman Scott Pascarella, the cause of death of the man will not be released until an autopsy is complete. The man suffered from a gunshot wound and it is believed he killed himself but nothing is confirmed, ABC News reports.
"I know that there's a lot going out right now that it was a suicide," Pascarella tells omg!. "We haven't confirmed that to any media outlets though."
Someone found the body at the residence on Monday afternoon. The man was a contractor that was hired by Newton-John as the home is up for sale.
The man is not related to Newton-John and he doesn't live in the home. Newton-John, 64, and her husband John Easterling were not in the home when the dead man was discovered.
"Olivia and her husband John are in shock over the tragic event that occurred at their Florida home yesterday," a rep for the couple said in a statement according to ABC. "At this time we are awaiting additional information from investigators but, can confirm that the couple was not in Florida at the time."
Contractors have been working at the home as it up for sale. According to Gossip Extra, Rosie O'Donnell was under contract to buy the home for $5.6 million, but nothing has been confirmed.
This isn't the first death is Newton-John's life this year. Her older sister, Rona Newton-John, died in May from a brain tumor.
"I will miss her forever - my beautiful, smart, talented, funny, brave sister Rona," Newton-John wrote on her Facebook page in response to the loss.
