Naomi Campbell is back in the skies and flying with British Airways but the staff aren't happy about it after she was arrested and banned from the airline five years ago after she was being abusive on a flight.
Supermodel Naomi Campbell is allowed to fly with BA again even though she accused the staff of racism and assaulted police officers as they removed her from a British Airways plane five years ago.
According to the Daily Mail, some BA staff members are not happy that the model is allowed back on their flights. This included a First Class flight to Milan on May 3 this year. The 43-year-old model was allowed to board boarded the Milan flight at Heathrow Airport in London and she was even escorted by the airline's special services staff who give VIP treatment to First Class fliers.
The staff members believe the ban should not have been lifted and they feel that management only gave her special treatment because she is wealthy and famous.
"Naomi upset a lot of staff, so to have her back on BA flights feels like a bit of a kick in the teeth," a source told the Daily Mail. "The company should be taking a hard line against people who are abusive or aggressive - whether they are rich and famous or not."
Campbell had been banned from the airline after she threw a fit over her luggage at Heathrow Airport in 2008. She yelled at the BA aircraft crew before she was ordered off of the flight according to a court hearing. Campbell received a £2,300 fine and was sentenced to 200 hours of community service for the incident.
British Airways would not comment on the claims, saying that "Due to data protection, we are unable to disclose passenger details."
