Paris, France is a culinary wonderland with some of the best gourmet eateries in the world, not to mention a paradise for wine and cheese lovers. A quirky, unique take on French cuisine a restaurant in Paris called Pomze, is an eatery that is devoted to the apple. Crispy, sweet apples are the backdrop for Pomze's menu where you can feast on delectable items like gazpacho with granny smith juice ice cubes.
"Situating on the first floor of the number 109, the restaurant fitted out in an old Haussmannian apartment whose layout was preserved. Three private dining rooms from 8 to 21 places is at your disposal for your receptions, press conference breakfasts, luncheons, client dinners, evening with friends or family," says the restaurant's website.
The restaurant was created by Daniel and Emmanuel Dayan. Head chef Kenichi Handa imagines an
"Local products sometimes associated with flavours from faraway, souvenirs of our journeys and experiences, as well as around hundred varieties of apples pass through our restaurant each year," says the restaurant's website.
Daniel Dayan writes on the restaurant's website, "ten years ago, we hoped sharing with you our passion for taste and apples. This very magical fruit, apples, allowed us during these recent years to meet you and to celebrate numerous occasions : business meals, romantic meals, wedding receptions, anniversary, birthday, dinners with friends, new-born celebrations... These are life's moments which you came share in our restaurant, making Pomze the place of life and wish."
Pomze also has homemade apple ciders of course and a boutique. Some seasonal menu items include grilled mackerel fillets with Granny Smith ravigote saucs, prawns in a cauliflower soup with Granny Smith apples.
For dessert delicacies like chocolate fondant with stracciatella ice cream and redberries as well as caramelized apple cheesecake will tempt the tastebuds.
