Delta Expands Daily Service at Los Angeles International Airport

Delta Air Lines will increase their domestic flight service at Los Angeles International Airport this fall, when the airline will begin offering new daily flights to four destinations with expanded service to nine existing markets, according to a press release.

Currently, Delta operates more than 115 peak-day departures to 40 destinations from Los Angeles. All flights offer BusinessElite/First Class and Economy Comfort seating. All flights also offer domestic flight feature Wi-Fi service.

The new service will include four new daily flights in the Pacific Northwest with four new daily flights to Portland, Oregon, and two new flights daily to Seattle.

In the Bay area, service will expand with three additional daily flights to San Francisco and two additional daily flights to Oakland, California, as well as one daily flight to San Jose, California.

Other additional flights will include one additional daily flight to New Orleans, one additional flight to Kansas City, Missouri, and additional daily service to Indianapolis and Columbus, Ohio.

There will be retimed daily service to Tampa, Florida, and Raleigh, North Carolina, and new limited daily service on Saturday only to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Seasonal limited daily service and Saturday only will be added to Bozeman, Montana.

Some of the additional services will be through Delta Connection carriers, such as Compass Airlines and SkyWest.

"Delta is committed to being the preferred airline for our customers in Los Angeles by providing additional service at more convenient times and during key demand periods," Bob Cortelyou, the senior vice president of Network Planning, said. "Coupled with our expanding airline partnerships and improved airport customer experience, we offer a superior product in one of the industry's most competitive markets."

Delta is currently remodeling Terminal five at Los Angeles International Airport in partnership with the City of Los Angeles and Los Angeles World Airports. The project will double the size of ticketing lobby and screening checkpoints, as well as open an exclusive, separate Sky Priority lobby and checkpoint, including renovations to the Delta Sky Club and new baggage carousels.
