Crystal Cruises to Unveil New 2015 Line Up

Crystal Cruises has unveiled a new line up for voyages in 2015. The line says they will sail 64 trips during the year which will include 248 ports in 79 different countries. USA Today reported that the Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony will take 22 calls to these lesser-known locations:

"Albany, Australia; Ambodifotatra and Taolanaro, Madagascar; Burgas, Bulgaria; and Chania/Souda, Greece."

They will also go to the following locations for the first time:

"Macapa, Brazil; Richards Bay, South Africa; Rijeka, Croatia; Sanary-sur-Mer, France; Santo Domingo, Dominician Republic; Aomori, Japan; Archangel, Korsakov and Solovetsky Islands, Russian Federation; Belawan, Indonesia; Bodo, Narvi and Øye/Hjørundfjord, Norway; Helgoland, Germany; Kochi, Japan; Sanya, China and Scarborough, Trinidad and Tobago."

Amonng other news they will also have a new trip to North Cape and White Sea which will leave from Reykjavik, Iceland. Crystal Cruises also recently announced revised rules and announced recently that they will be banning smoking in all indoor areas of their two ships. The one exception is the Connoisseur Club smoking lounges. Outside smoking will be permitted in a small number of designated spaces.

"We have received considerable feedback and we listened," Gregg Michel, president of Crystal Cruises, said in a statement. "The majority of our guests worldwide are nonsmoking, and travelers are used to more nonsmoking environments today."

The revised policy will begin with the first sailings of 2014 and eliminates smoking in all cabins, the ships' Crystal Cove lobby lounges and Pulse and Luxe nightclubs.

"Crystal notes that many areas of its ships have been non-smoking for several years, including restaurants and main entertainment lounges. Smoking also has been banned on cabin balconies, though not in cabin interiors. Crystal eliminated smoking in ship casinos in 2013," reported USA Today.
