Taylor Swift Online Prank: Contest Canceled After Trolls Try To Set Singer Up With 'Creepy' Man

Taylor Swift has become the victim on yet another online prank. The singer was forced to cancel a contest after online pranksters swayed a vote to help a "creepy" 39-year-old man meet the singer.

According to MSN, Swift teamed up with Massachusetts radio station Kiss 108 FM for a web contest that would give one lucky fan the chance to meet the singer. However the contests didn't go as expected. It had to be cancelled after 4chan.org and Reddit users joined forces to sway the vote in favor of a 39-year-old man named Charles Z, who was described as a "creepy 39-year-old [who] would like to crush all those little girls' dreams."

The radio station released a statement, saying , "Disappointingly, we have determined that the integrity of the Taylor Swift's Biggest Fan contest has been compromised. In accordance with our contest rules, effective immediately, the contest has been terminated. We apologize to all of our loyal listeners who have participated."

This isn't the first time Swift became the victim of an online prank. She was targeted by pranksters in a similar fashion when they tried to rig a contest for a performance from the star at a school. The contest rules had to be altered because online jokesters swayed the contest by voting to send Swift to sing for a school of deaf students.

Swift handled that situation with grace by donating $10,000 and concert tickets to the school for the deaf in Boston. The Horace Mann School for the Deaf was disqualified from the contest because the votes came from pranksters, but Swift awarded them anyway.

Swift has not yet responded to the current online prank. Online pranksters have taken even further before by starting rumors that the young singer died. The rumors quickly spread around the Internet, sending fans into a frenzy.
