Disney Parks are supporting the troops by offering special deals for military members. Active duty, reserve and retired members of the U.S. military can get special discount on theme park tickets and accommodations.
From August 12, 2013 through September 24, 2014, active and retired U.S. military personnel, including those from the United States Coast Guard, National Guard and Reservists, can purchase special deals at Walt Disney World, News13 reports.
Options include:
- Disney 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets with Park Hopper Option for $169 each, plus tax
- Disney 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets with Water Park Fun and More Option for $169 each, plus tax
- Disney 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets with Park Hopper and Water Park Fun and More Options for $198 each, plus tax
The tickets for Walt Disney World can be used from September 29, 2013, through September 27, 2014. There are some blackout dates including December 20 - 31, 2013; April 13 - 20, 2014, at all theme parks and all Water Park fun and more locations; and July 4, 2014, at Magic Kingdom Park only.
There are also special deals for Disneyland Resort. Military members can buy tickets from August 12, 2013, through September 25, 2014 which can be used from September 29, 2013, through September 27, 2014. The special deal includes a Disney Military Promotional 3-Day Park Hopper Tickets for $129 each. The blackout dates include December 19 - 31, 2013; April 13 - April 20, 2014; and July 4, 2014, at both theme parks.
Proper military identification is required to take advantage of these deals. Military members can purchase the tickets for themselves and up to five other family members or friends. No more than six military promotional tickets may be purchased by any eligible member of the U.S. military or spouse with these offers.
Military members can also get specially priced rooms at some Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort hotels. These deals are valid for most nights from September 29, 2013, through September 27, 2014, except for November 28 - November 30, 2013, December 23-31, 2013, and April 14 - April 19, 2014.
