A big part of the travel experience is visiting popular attractions while on a trip. To help travelers choose which attractions to check out, TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel site, announced its Travelers' Choice Attractions awards based on millions of valuable reviews and opinions from TripAdvisor travelers.
The awards go towards 1,263 of the world's top landmarks, parks, museums and amusement and water parks. The winners were chosen in 39 countries around the world and regional awards were given for Africa, Asia, Australia, the Caribbean, Central America, China, Europe, India, Mexico, the Middle East, South America, the South Pacific, and the United States.
The awards were chosen based on user reviews of attractions in different categories.
"To inspire travelers setting out on summer trips, TripAdvisor has named the top attractions across the globe based on the valuable feedback from millions worldwide," said Barbara Messing, chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor. "Honoring more than 1,200 winners, these remarkable sights offer enriching and entertaining experiences for travelers of all ages."
