Restaurateur Michael Mina has opened a new burger joint at Las Vegas' MGM Grand called Pub 1842. USA Today reported that the pub is the most casual of Mina's enterprises which include fine dining at Bellagio and American Fish at Aria.
"Pub 1842 is my twist on the classic American pub," says Mina to USA Today. "The menu has traditional American flavors spun into modern comforts such as the Peanut Butter Crunch burger, the Crab Louie deviled eggs, and the kale Caesar salad. This is a place I want to take my friends for a great time to eat, drink and relax -- all in good company."
Pub 1842's website said that the name of the restaurant is after the year Pilsner beer was invented. Fittingly the restaurant will offer a long list of beer choices.
"Beer flights will be available so guests may sample a variety of the more than 40 selections including ales, pilsners, stouts and lagers. Bartenders also will craft an eclectic mix of creative cocktails such as the Thai Me Up made with tea-infused vodka, Thai tea and condensed milk as well as the Here Piggy Piggy made with bacon, pink peppercorn and Bullet Bourbon," says the restaurant's website.
The menu will include delicious options such as roast pork with Sunday gravy; Crispy chicken Wings with sweet and spicy chipotle glaze and blue cheese. Other items include "Soft Pretzels served with house-made American cheese fondue," says the restaurant's website. "No pub would be complete without an extensive burger list and Chef Mina has created a variety of inventive selections such as the Peanut Butter Crunch Burger with bacon jam, potato chips and pimento cheese and the Korean BBQ Salmon Burger with cucumber kimchi and Fresno peppers. Steaks, salads, sandwiches and hearty entrees will round out the menu."
USA Today reported that the Peanut Butter Crunch burger includes American Wagyu topped with pimento cheese, bacon jam, potato chips and crunchy peanut butter.
