Summer is almost here and that means it's time to plan a summer vacation. Some may be taking a break to carry out an affair. Extra-marital dating site AshleyMadison.com, came up with a list of the top 10 summer vacation destinations for an affair.
AshleyMadison.com surveyed 48,920 of their cheating members to ask them if they plan on taking a summer trip with their affair partner and where they plan on going. Out of the respondents, 61.3 percent said they will be taking a trip with their partner. Here are the top ten summer vacation destinations for cheaters according to the survey:
1) Las Vegas
2) Miami
3) Bahamas: Paradise Island
4) New York City
5) Los Angeles
6) Turks & Caicos
7) Napa Valley
8) Martha's Vineyard
9) Hamptons
10) Mexico
"There is no better time to pursue a discreet affair than when you're hundreds or even thousands of miles away from home," AshleyMadison.com's founder and CEO Noel Biderman said. "Our members have even stated that the distance not only lessens their fear of getting caught, but also alleviates feelings of guilt."
Most cheaters are planning a quick trip and one in five will get away for the weekend or two days, but many are also planning 3-4 night getaways, especially for a stay at a Resort / Spa destination or a Beach/ Island.
Apparently cheaters even have an airline of choice to reach their destination. Ironically, a majority chose Virgin as their top airline, with Delta, Jet Blue, Southwest, and Continental rounding out the top five.
Other top vacation destinations that just missed the list were Hawaii and London. The survey also found that 52.5 percent will plan and pay for leisure travel to coincide with their business, 72.3% of those polled plan to meet their affair partner at their destination, 91.4% request window seat on the plane, and 36.4% drive to meet their affair partner when possible.
