Passengers Sing 'I Believe I Can Fly' After Being Stranded on Flights for Three Hours [VIDEO]

Passengers that were stuck on the tarmac on two different planes for four hours made the best out of the frustrating situation by breaking out into song. Ironically, the passengers on the Allegiant Air flight chose to sing "I Believe I Can Fly" by R Kelly.

The passengers on an Allegiant Air flight that was grounded on the runway in Las Vegas tried to have some fun even though the flight had no air conditioning, the Daily Mail reports. The 121 passengers were supposed to leave Las Vegas for Phoenix at 11a.m. on Sunday. The MD-80 plane had a technical issue and then a passenger had a medical issue which caused the plane to be grounded for 80 minutes according to an Allegiance spokesman.

Since the air conditioning is connected to the engines of the plane, it was difficult to keep the plane cool while it was grounded in 110F temperatures on the tarmac. The airline crew tried to make customers more comfortable by handing out water. After the first plane incident, the passengers spent an hour in the airport terminal before being placed on a second flight which was also
delayed due to technical issues.

To keep their spirits high, the passengers decided to break out in song. One man blasted R Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly" on a stereo. Other passengers joined in, laughed, sang and waved their arms in the air. Some filmed the in-flight entertainment on cellphone cameras.

However it wasn't all fun. Some passengers couldn't take the heat and had serious medical emergencies.

"One of the passengers started getting a bloody nose from the heat so she rushed to the bathroom. Followed by her was another passenger that was starting to vomit," passenger Francine Gutierrez told Fox. "A third passenger passed out in the middle of the aisle. Everyone was kind of frantic."

According to Davis, the passengers were given complimentary drinks on board and a $100 credit towards a future flight.
